ADAMSON UNIVERSITY’S TRADITIONAL ‘WELCOME WEEK’ TO PUSH THROUGH
THE ADAMSON University Student Government announced that the traditional Welcome Week for freshmen and transferees will push through.
The university will celebrate “Marahuyo” virtually from November 16-20, 2020.
Various activities led by the Student Organization Activation and Recruitment will be held during the 5-day celebration.
“We will be having every night quiz bee and the participants will be freshies from different courses. It also includes promotional feed for our organizations within the university, sponsors and partnerships of this week-long event,” AUSG Chairman for Social Issues and Advocacies Blessilee Agrante told The POST.
Marahuyo, which means enchantment, aims to give the students the feeling of being together despite meeting only virtually, Agrante said.
“Kaya rin Marahuyo.. enchantment.. Feel the magic pa rin. Feel the happiness pa rin kahit na magkakalayo Adamsonians,” she added.
Agrante said that there will also be live virtual performances from select organizations and awarding of winners on the last night of the celebration.
It will be followed by Tatak Adamson, a celebration of the Adamsonian journey, and the Welcome Week Concert where talented homegrown artists will perform Original Pilipino Music.
“The mark of a true-blooded falcon shall be vested unto you as we welcome you to our very first virtual welcome week!” AUSG said on a Facebook post.
