QUIRINO Elementary School on Wednesday became the second beneficiary of the Rise Against Hunger Program, a nutrition initiative aimed at helping address hunger among learners.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara led the program rollout at the school together with representatives from Rise Against Hunger Philippines and Grab Philippines.

The feeding program was transferred to Quirino Elementary School following the successful six-month implementation of the initiative at Old Balara Elementary School.

According to the Department of Education (DepEd), the transfer is part of the program’s rotation strategy, which aims to extend nutrition support to more learners while ensuring sustained efforts to combat hunger in public schools.

Also present during the launch were Rise Against Hunger Philippines Board Vice Chairman Allan Tumbaga, Grab Philippines Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Atty. Sherielysse Bonifacio, Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto, and other DepEd officials.
