CLASSES SUSPENDED IN BATANGAS SCHOOL OVER REPORTED SHOOTING THREATS
BATANGAS City Integrated High School has suspended all classes and on-site school activities effective June 29, 2026, until further notice following reports of shooting threats involving the school.
In an advisory, the school said the suspension is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and security of students, teaching and non-teaching personnel, parents, and the entire school community.
“This precautionary measure is being implemented to ensure the safety and security of all learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, parents, and other members of the school community. Everyone is advised not to enter or proceed to the school premises while the suspension remains in effect,” the advisory stated.
School officials likewise urged students, parents, and employees to refrain from entering the campus while the suspension is in effect.
The school administration said it is closely coordinating with the appropriate law enforcement authorities to assess and address the reported threats.
It also appealed to the public to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and rely only on updates released through the school’s official communication channels.
According to the advisory, classes and on-site activities will resume only after school officials and authorities have reassessed the situation and determined that it is safe to do so.
