SOLON APPEALS FOR UNITY, STRONGER PROTECTION OF STUDENTS

LEYTE Rep. Martin Romualdez has called on the public to unite in supporting the families affected by the deadly shooting at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City, while urging stronger measures to protect students from violence.

Romualdez personally visited the wake of the three students killed in the attack, where he expressed his heartfelt condolences and offered comfort to their grieving families.

He also extended assistance to the victims’ families and joined them in prayer, remembering those who lost their lives and offering support for the students injured in the incident.

The former House leader urged the public to stand in solidarity with the bereaved families, saying he understands the profound pain and suffering brought by the tragedy to those who lost loved ones and to the families of the injured.

Romualdez also expressed hope that justice would be served swiftly and vowed to push for legislative measures aimed at preventing similar acts of violence in schools. He stressed the need to strengthen safeguards to ensure the welfare, security, and safety of students nationwide.
