BEHIND ENDERUN’S FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND STUDENT ENGAGEMENT APP

Enderun App Founder Joey Tuason on building a rewards-driven ecosystem for better campus life

15 May 2026

TAGUIG CITY, Philippines – For decades, the “return on investment” for a college student was a piece of paper handed over after four years of study. But for Joey Tuason, CEO and Co-Founder of the Enderun App, that timeline is far too slow for the modern generation.

Insights In Motion. Joey Tuason, CEO and Co-Founder of the Enderun App, shares his vision for innovation, entrepreneurship, and the future of digital learning during an exclusive interview.

“College is essentially a four-year subscription plan,” Joey says. “The problem is, you only feel rewarded at the very end. We wanted to create a platform where students feel rewarded every single day.”

The Innovation: Campus Coins

The Enderun App has introduced a first-of-its-kind rewards platform that moves beyond simple academic tracking. Through the app, students earn Campus Coins, a digital currency earned through “holistic engagement.”

Unlike previous iterations of campus tech that focused strictly on grades, this version rewards the entire student lifestyle through, but not limited to:

  • Academic Milestones: Attending classes and achieving Dean’s List status.
  • Social Connectivity: Scanning digital IDs to build a professional network.
  • Campus Vitality: Attending academic and extra-curricular campus events, joining organizations, and participating in them.
  • Digital Contribution: Sharing and engaging with community content and student-led channels.

Bridging the Gap Between Campus and Commerce

The true power of the platform lies in its “Real-World Rewards” ecosystem. Campus Coins aren’t just points on a leaderboard; they are a currency that unlocks tangible value.

The app features a mix of internal perks, may it be as cafeteria discounts and/or on reserved parking rates, but also external partnerships with Enderun alumni-owned businesses, such as Tipsy Pig, SALÓ Food Tour, and many more in the pipeline. With this, the app creates a circular economy that supports both current students and the alumni network.

“We’ve seen reward drops sell out instantly,” Joey explains, comparing the hype to a limited-edition release of a famous shoe brand. “Because it’s a private social network, brands know their marketing is reaching the exact demographic they want, and students get exclusive access they can’t find anywhere else.”

The results of the April 2026 relaunch speak for themselves. Since the rollout, the community has seen over 5,000 professional connections made through the app’s digital ID system.

Looking to the Future

With the Enderun Colleges community serving as a successful “proven ground” for the last nine years, Joey and his team are now looking toward global expansion, with a specific eye on the U.S. market and major local universities in the Philippines.

The ultimate vision? A cross-campus network where students from different universities can share channels, build communities, and compete for rewards.

“We are open for business,” says Joey. “We’re redefining higher education to show that the school cares about the whole student experience, not just the time spent inside the classroom nor the paper you receive by the end of the journey.”
