DLSU-D TEAM RULES EDUTECH ASIA 2025
A GROUP from the De La Salle University–Dasmariñas delegation emerged as Champion at EduTech Asia 2025, held earlier this month in Singapore.
Computer Science students Juliana Racquel Dunca, Mark Brian Garilao, Eloisa Joy Lumakang, and Francesca Marie Tuazon impressed judges with their mobile app “ReStitch.”
Powered by Google technology, the app features an AI chatbot that guides users in repairing, repurposing, and upcycling clothes to reduce textile waste and promote eco-friendly fashion practices.
The innovation supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9, 11, 12, and 13, emphasizing innovation, sustainable communities, responsible consumption, and climate action.
The team was mentored by Associate Dean Rolando Barrameda.
Centered on the theme “Planet Protector: Sustainability,” the regional competition gathered over 200 participants from across Asia to showcase innovative solutions for environmental protection and sustainable living.
