GLOBE EARNS FIVE GOLDEN ARROWS FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR, CEMENTING LEADERSHIP IN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE EXCELLENCE

3 November 2025

Globe has once again proven its unwavering commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance, earning Five Golden Arrows from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) for the fourth consecutive year. The distinction affirms Globe’s consistent performance in upholding transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership across all levels of the organization.

The Golden Arrow Award recognizes publicly listed companies that excel in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), a rigorous regional framework that evaluates how companies protect shareholder rights, promote equitable treatment, strengthen board effectiveness, and integrate sustainability and resilience into their strategy. The Five Golden Arrows represent the highest level of recognition, reserved for institutions that scored 115 points and above under the ACGS.

“This recognition underscores Globe’s steadfast pursuit of excellence in governance which is a cornerstone of how we drive long-term value, build stakeholder trust, and navigate the dynamic business environment with integrity,” said Marisalve Ciocson-Co, Globe’s Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Vice President for Legal and Compliance, and Assistant Corporate Secretary.

Now operating under an updated Scorecard aligned with the G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance, the award reflects Globe’s adaptability amid evolving priorities in sustainability, digital transformation, and investor stewardship. The G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance are internationally recognized standards that guide how companies should be directed and governed to ensure accountability, transparency, and fairness. The new framework introduces enhanced measures on shareholder rights, board responsibility, and sustainability disclosures, areas where Globe continues to demonstrate strong leadership.

Globe’s achievement places it once again among the top-performing companies in the Philippines and the ASEAN region in terms of corporate governance. The recognition also mirrors the strong governance culture across the Ayala Group, with Ayala Corporation likewise earning Five Golden Arrows this year. Globe’s recent celebration of its 50th year listing further underscores its enduring commitment to excellence, a commitment also reflected in its recognition for corporate governance.

“This important citation would not be possible without the tireless dedication and commitment of our Compliance, Sustainability, and Audit teams. We accepted this award on behalf of every Globe employee who upholds Globe’s purpose and values every day. Likewise, this accomplishment is a testament to the strong governance culture that flows from our major shareholders, Ayala Corporation and Singapore Telecom,” said Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz.

As Globe continues to advance digital transformation, it remains firmly anchored on the principles of good governance, ensuring that innovation, growth, and responsibility will move the company forward.
