GLOBE DEPLOYS FREE CALLS, CHARGING SITES; EXTENDS RELIEF FOR 359 FAMILIES IN METRO MANILA

Globe continues to deliver urgent support to affected communities through its #AlagangGlobe disaster response initiatives, in the wake of widespread flooding and disruptions caused by the compounded impact of successive weather disturbances.
The company activated a new Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging (LTLC) station in Valenzuela City and distributed relief goods for hundreds of displaced families in Metro Manila.
“Globe’s response remains focused on restoring connectivity, offering lifelines where needed, and working with local government partners to deliver timely aid,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer.
Connectivity Support
As of July 25, Globe has deployed LTLC sites in the following areas, offering free calls and device charging for affected residents:
- Taytay, Rizal
- Bagong Pag-asa Elementary School, Brgy. San Juan – 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Quezon City
- Bagong Silangan Evacuation Center, Brgy. Bagong Silangan – July 25, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Tatalon Evacuation Center, Brgy. Tatalon – July 25, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Barangay Hall Main, St. Catherine Day Care Center, Brgy. Holy Spirit – July 25, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Sitio Ruby Multi-purpose Hall, Brgy. Fairview – July 25, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Cavite
- Bucana Malaki Brgy. Hall, Tanza – July 25–27, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Barangay Dulong Bayan Evacuation Site, Dulong Bayan Elementary School, Imus – July 24-26; 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Barangay Niog Evacuation Site, Niog Elementary School, Imus – July 24-26; 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Daan Bukid Multipurpose Hall (Poblacion) Campo Santo Evacuation Center, Imus – July 24-26; 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Globe also deployed an LTLC site in Marulas Elementary School and Gen T. De Leon National High School in Valenzuela City on July 23 and 24.
This brings the total number of active LTLC stations to nine.
Network Impact
Globe’s network remains largely intact across Luzon. Restoration efforts are ongoing in coordination with local power providers and emergency response units.
Relief for Families
In partnership with Rise Against Hunger (RAH) and Globe, relief assistance has been sent to communities severely affected by flooding:
- 100 families in Quezon City
- 59 families in Pasig City
- 100 families in Pasay City
- 100 families in Taytay, Rizal
These distributions follow recent aid delivered to 300 families in Cebu. Additional relief efforts are being readied for rollout in South Luzon in the coming days.
