TO AID the learners in Romblon, the Department of Social Welfare and Development has released cash assistance under the Educational Cash Assistance Program.

DSWD Social Worker Officer II Abegail Fetilo led the cash distribution last June 29 to eligible students of Agnipa National High School in cooperation with the Office of the Congressman.

Junior high school students received P2,000 each while senior high school students received P3,000 for their educational expenditures.

The parents, guardians and students of Agnipa Main Campus and Sablayan Extension Classes convened at the ANHS multipurpose hall for the said event.

During the event, Congressman Eleandro Jesus Madrona also vowed to procure a new sound system, power transformer as well as lending cash assistance to the school’s scouting program sending several boy scouts.

Schools Division Superintendent Roger Capa, Governor Jose Riano, Vice Mayor Mariano Mateo and government members of the province graced the event to express their unwavering support to the department’s initiative and to ensure the efficient and systematic distribution of the aid to students in crisis.
