FORMER vice president and Angat Buhay chairperson Leni Robredo led the opening of the Angat Buhay dormitory in Tulay na Lupa National High School in Labo, Camarines Norte.

Robredo said that with the dormitory, students would no longer have to walk for hours to go to school.

“Some students have to walk or travel for hours every day just to get to class,” she said.

The project also aims to reduce the number of school dropouts.

“Sinimulan namin ang pagtatayo ng in-campus dorms nu’ng panahon ko bilang Vice President, para tugunan ang mataas na rates ng pag-absent at pag-dropout ng mga high school students na ganito ang araw-araw na pinagdaraanan,” Robredo said.
