A total of 32 ROTC cadets and more than 20 Army reservists joined the educational camp tour.

The camp tour aims to provide opportunity to ROTC cadets to know about the Philippine Army’s thrusts and capabilities through a series of activities and orientation, designed for them to be able to grasps their significant function as reserve force of the AFP.
On the first day of the tour, the cadets were oriented about the daily routine of respective offices and units inside 3ID Headquarters; visited the 6th Cavalry Company, the 3rd Field Artillery Battalion; and attended lectures on CPP-NPA recruitment to students.
Maj. Gen. Benedict Arevalo, Commander of the Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry Division, said the camp tour serves as motivation to cadets.
“With this initiative, not only ROTC cadets but also other students, will realize the importance of acquiring military knowledge and skills needed to serve our country. It is really important that every citizen is ready in times the country needs them,” Maj. Gen. Arevalo said.
