7 BAGUIO PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO START F2F CLASSES IN MARCH

/ 1 March 2022

AT LEAST seven public schools in Baguio City will hold face-to-face classes in March, Mayor Benjamin Magalong said on Monday.

These schools are the Sto. Tomas National High School, Mil-an Senior High School, Sto. Tomas Elementary School, Gibraltar Elementary School, Spring Hills Elementary School, Tabora Elementary School and Happy Hallow Elementary School.

Magalong said the Health Services Office, City Engineers Office, Risk Reduction and Disaster Management Office and other offices inspected the schools and assessed their readiness to conduct physical classes.

“Minimum public health standards should be strictly implemented with prescriptions for air exchange flow in the passageways, classrooms and circumferential buildings once face-to-face classes start, it was known,” Magalong said.

“Teachers, other school personnel and the pupils should be properly informed and monitored for compliance to safety rulings. They should also be fully vaccinated,” he added.

The mayor also said that consultations were held with the parents and the community to address the concerns of teachers for the in-person classes.

Magalong added that the Saint Louis University and University of Baguio have submitted their applications to conduct in-person classes for non-medical programs.
