PUP RECORDS 715 COVID19 INFECTIONS
THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines has 715 positive cases of Covid19 among its constituents, the Sentral na Konseho ng mga Mag-aaral disclosed.
The Catalyst, the official student publication of the university, reported that a survey was conducted among students to ask them if they wanted an academic break.
Of the 28,114 respondents, 21,729 said that they had flu-like symptoms while 11,925 had household members experiencing Covid-19 symptoms.
The PUP administration scheduled an academic break until January 21 in line with the declaration of Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso of a city-wide health break.
The academic break will extend the school calendar for one week, the school said.
PUP campuses in other areas will decide whether or not to implement a break.
