After months of lockdown, surely, we’ve missed the feeling of wandering around and about. And who wouldn’t miss the peculiar vibes of being in a museum? Worry no more because tons of them are opening again. Here’s a list of some museums that we can visit right now:

National Museum of Anthropology

If you’re a fan of discovering ancient human society and culture, then you should not miss your opportunity to visit the National Museum of Anthropology. Located in Padre Burgos Ave., Ermita, Manila, 1000 Metro Manila. Open every Tuesday – Saturday.

As of November, all ages are allowed to visit given that minors should be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult. National Museum of Fine Arts

Want to learn more about the country’s flora and fauna? This museum is great for those people who enjoy biology, botany, and zoology. Located in Teodoro F. Valencia Cir., Ermita, Manila 1000 Metro Manila. Open every Tuesday – Saturday.

Metropolitan Museum of Manila

Located within Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas along Roxas Boulevard, Malate, Manila. This museum features art made by a variety of artists both from local and international scenes. If you’re fond of contemporary arts, then surely this is the best place for you to visit.

Reminder: Wear your facemask and always observe minimum health protocol. Before entering the area, make sure to fill out the health declaration form to be handed out.

Dessert Museum

Now if you’re looking for a museum that will satiate your eyes and make you crave at the same time, you should try to visit the Dessert Museum! This is an interactive museum that will let you wander into different rooms featuring different sweets. What’s good is that you’ll get to satisfy your craving because they are also offering 5-6 desserts for you to enjoy.

Reminder: This museum has a fee of Php 799 for walk-ins and Php 699 for booked admission online and open to all ages (adults should be fully vaccinated). Ayala Museum

Calling all artsy people and bookworms! After two years of renovation, Ayala Museum and Filipinas Heritage Library in Greenbelt Park Makati had just opened this December 4 to the public. Now we can enjoy not just the pieces of art displayed there but also read art in the form of books.

Reminder: The library has no entrance fee, while the museum’s entry costs Php 350. Online booking is also mandatory, so don’t forget to book ahead of time before going there (https://www.ayalamuseum.org/visit). Only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to visit, so make sure to bring your vaccination card as a proof. Wearing facemasks and following minimum health protocols is also a must.
