DEPED PERSONNEL IN REGION 1 GET JABS
MORE than 440 teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education in the Regional Office I, Schools Division of San Fernando City and La Union have gotten their first dose of Covid19 vaccine.
The vaccination drive was held last week with the assistance of La Union Provincial Health Officer Eduardo Posadas and Dr. Dan Dacanay.
“Protecting our personnel through vaccination is paramount in ensuring the learning continuity of Batang San Fernando,” Dr. Michael Bangloy, medical officer IV of SDOSFC, said.
“The activity is a perfect example of whole-of-government approach in mitigating this health pandemic,” he added.
So far, 22.2 percent or 11,360 out of the 51,058 personnel in the region have received their first dose, while nearly 15 percent or 7,466 are fully vaccinated.
“In the regional office, 95 percent or 144 out of the 152 employees have been vaccinated, 45 percent or 68 of them have completed the required two doses,” the division office said.
“More than 54 percent of the eligible personnel in the region have registered for vaccination and are awaiting their schedule of vaccination under the A4 priority category,” it added.
