NEGROS OCCIDENTAL GOV’T DISTRIBUTES 75 RISOGRAPH MACHINES, MEDIA LIBRARIES

/ 20 February 2021

THE PROVINCIAL government of Negros Occidental distributed 75 risograph machines and Knowledge Channel’s Portable Media Libraries to 33 school districts under the Department of Education.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the turnover rites held at the Negros Occidental High School in Bacolod City.

Curriculum Implementation Division Chief Dr. Zaldy Reliquias gave a brief orientation about the project to the beneficiaries.

“The risograph machines will be used for the production of printed modules of both elementary and secondary schools. The media library is a comprehensive educational tool that contains interactive learning programs for teachers and learners,” Reliquias said.

Lacson said the provincial government had always been supportive of DepEd’s programs that benefit students.

“A year into the pandemic and months of alternative learning, the obligation to protect and promote the right of our learners to quality education at all levels, and to take appropriate steps to make such education accessible to all has become more imperative,” Lacson said.

“May this activity motivate our continuous and sustained efforts to think of ways on how to further achieve the kind of quality education our learners deserve, for even if Covid19 physically closed our schools, learning must go on,” he added.
