DEPED RECRUITMENT PROGRAM WINS CSC RECOGNITION
THE DEPARTMENT of Education’s recruitment and learning program won recognition from the Civil Service Commission for obtaining Maturity Level 2 under the Enhanced Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management .
The department was given a certificate of recognition for its Recruitment, Selection, and Placement and Learning and Development programs.
“This is good news for the Department as we start the year. Indeed, this recognition is a testament that we remain committed and dedicated to improving our services to our staff and our clients,” Education Secretary Leonor Briones said.
Set on a scale of four maturity levels, Maturity Level 2 indicates that the management of human resources is process-defined, where there is “a set of defined and documented standard operating procedures established,” “goal-oriented decision-making,” and an automated system in place.
PRIME-HRM evaluates four aspects of HR management — Recruitment, Selection, and Placement; Learning and Development; Performance Management; and Rewards and Recognition.
The program aims to empower government agencies by developing their human resource management competencies, systems, and practices toward HR excellence.
“The Department remains committed to better serve its stakeholders. This recognition encourages us in the Department to strive even more in the pursuit of the highest standards of human resource management systems”, Education Undersecretary Jesus Mateo said.
