DEPED DAVAO, CANON PH TIE UP FOR MODULE PRINTING
THE DEPARTMENT of Education in Davao Region has partnered with Canon Philippines for the printing of self-learning modules for the third and fourth quarter of School Year 2020-2021.
Canon provided the region five mono printer units and three colored laser multifunctional units that can be used to produce modules.
Canon Service Specialist Edward Guazon said one mono printer unit can produce 110 copies per minute or at least 800,000 copies a day.
The region will utilize the Canon printers from January 15 to April 15. Within this period, all the printing requirements, especially for third and fourth quarters of this school year, will be catered.
The region will have to provide for the ink and paper to be used for the printing. Canon offers free use of the printing equipment and the provision of support services including on-call service engineer.
Assistant Regional Director Dr. Maria Ines Asuncion said that the printing machines will not only help the department to produce quality materials but will also make work easier.
“I am happy that we have built good partnership with Canon Philippines. We find all the means to ensure that our learners and teachers are both comfortable in the teaching-learning process,” Asuncion said.
