Public schools nationwide are now prepared for the opening of classes on August 24 through the new normal basic education initiatives for the teachers, students, parents, and LGUs.

To support the readiness of the public, the Department of Education (DepEd) will conduct ‘Handang Isip, Handa Bukas’ virtual program on Monday, August 10, 2020. This will feature the localized implementation of the Basic Education-Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) of the different public schools.

Mangayon Elementary School in Compostela Valley, and Don Ruben E. Ecleo Sr. Memorial National High School in Dinagat Islands are two of the participating schools from remote areas that will highlight their preparation for the new normal.

Parents and learners will also give their testimonies and experiences in relation to the program’s main objective.
