ADIDAS LAUNCHES THE NEXT CHAPTER OF ‘STAN SMITH, FOREVER’ WITH ICONIC GREEN DISNEY CHARACTERS
Adidas takes its sustainability mission one step further with a whole new collection that features recycled rubber outsoles to match the Green Disney characters it will represent.
The next step in our journey to help End Plastic Waste begins with reimagining the iconic white court sneaker, the Stan Smith. The forever platform represented a new approach to sustainable design and signaled a new era for the classic silhouette. The sneaker features a white PRIMEGREEN upper, a series of high-performance recycled materials, matched with a recycled rubber outsole.
Meanwhile, the Stan Smith silhouette is brought to life with the iconic Kermit, the Frog. Kermit’s name is embossed on the heel and his portrait printed on the left tongue, as well as co-branded sock liners, additional green laces, and the phrase “It’s Not Easy Being Green” embossed across both heel tabs.

The collection also features more sustainable takes on the silhouette inspired by a number of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel’s iconic characters including: Marvel’s the Hulk, Rex from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story, Tinker Bell from Peter Pan, WALL-E from Disney and Pixar’s WALL-E, Kermit the Frog of The Muppets, and Mike Wazowski, from Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.
Each pair in the collection features unique details and references to the characters, such as graphic outsoles, embossed details, bold graphics, playful prints, and additional lace options. All pairs are composed of PRIMEGREEN uppers and sat atop recycled rubber outsoles.
We also offer a more sustainable Stan Smith sneaker made-up in the silhouette’s classic look. Featuring a white recycled PRIMEGREEN upper and a white recycled rubber outsole, the sneaker is complemented by the Stan Smith’s archetypal green heel tab.
The next stage of adidas Originals’ sustainable journey, with Disney, launched on March 29th exclusively at adidas.com/stansmith and adidas stores globally, then available from April 1st at a selection of retailers worldwide.
