The Blazers and Stags had a heated start as they ended the first quarter with a deadlock, 12-12, but the Golden Stags claimed the advantage at the end of the first half with two points advantage as Jm Calma led the team with this 25 marks.

But Benilde retaliated to cap the 14-3 run from which the last two points came from Gozum’s layup at 1:34 minute in the shot clock in the fourth frame.

However, Calma was unstoppable he cuts the deficit down to 69-62 from 68-57 which happened within only a minute.

Gozum contributed twin digits of 18 followed by Nayve’s firing three threes, finishing 17 points for the Blazers that contained Calma on the paint.

In the end, Miggy Corteza finished the nail-biting game with his open layup and capped the match at 71-62.

Despite Calma’s effort to bag the win, the same was bestowed to the Blazers as Calma was the lone player to contribute twin digits for the Golden Stags while three players from Benilde had the two digits under their name.
