WBNBL, NBL SET TO RESUME THE 2021 SEASON ON SATURDAY IN PAMPANGA
The Women’s National Basketball League and the National Basketball League-Pilipinas are now ready to continue the delayed season and will be in action on Saturday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.
Metro Manila was put into ECQ last month which led the NBL/WNBL to postpone the season since the event was previously held in the said city.
After moving into a lower-community measurement (GCQ) city, Pampanga, as per approval from the Games and Amusements Board, the season will continue by implementing strict health protocols.
Antigen tests will also be required for delegates and staff to take before they could enter the venue.
The Pia Cayetano WNBL Season 21 will welcome the resumption of the season this weekend with the battle between the Taguig Lady Generals and the Quezon Lady Spartans at 11:15 a.m.
At the same time, a tripleheader will be observed in the Chooks-to-Go NBL Chairman’s Cup starting on Saturday at 1:15 pm where the clash are between Sulong Stan Q4 and Muntinlupa Warriors; Laguna Piston and Quezon Barons at 4 p.m.; and Pampanga Delta and Mindoro Tamaraws Disiplinados at 6 p.m.
The WNBL season continues on Sunday as Pacific Water Queens will face Taguig Lady Generals at 11:15 a.m.
This be will be followed by Taguig Generals and Sulong Stan Q4 at 1:15 p.m., Paranaque Aces against Pampanga Delta at 4 p.m., and the La Union PAOwer versus Bulacan DF Republicans at 6 p.m.
Protocol violators during the game will be brought into a penalty box where the player, coach, staff, or team official will have to sit for three minutes on the first offense and five minutes on the second offense and will be ejected from the venue for the third offense.
