UNITED CITY NAMES JASON WITHE AS NEW COACH AHEAD OF 2021 AFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Heading into the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League, United City Football Club had beefed up its think tank as they signed with English coach Jason Withe, the club announced on Wednesday.

Withe will be working alongside Frank Muescan and Playing Coach Stephan Shrock as they prepare for the biggest football stage of the Asian club in June and July.

The 49-year old coach had coached and managed several club teams from regional leagues in Thailand and Singapore.

Deffo, Superpower, Sukhothai, Nakhon Pathom United, Songkhla United, PTT Rayong, Bangkok Bank, and Police Tero are among the clubs he handled in the Thai League 1.

Withe also managed Singaporean football club Home United in 2002 leading it to a second-place finish in the S League.

Moreover, the new addition to the UCFC coaching management had a career in coaching teams competing in the World Cup Qualifiers, AFC Champions League, AFC Cup, Southeast Asian Games, Asean Football Federation (AFF) Championship.

Backed with his Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Professional License, Withe will be carrying a load of expectations in leading the club in the Champions League.

United City will also be defending its title in the Philippine Football League (PFL) that will kick off on July 17.
