Nakatabla ang Falcons sa kanilang biktima sa 2-1, at nakabawi ang tropa ni coach Nash Racela mula sa 52-82 defeat sa Green Archers noong nakaraang Miyerkoles.

Kumarera ang Growling Tigers, na target ang kanilang unang 3-0 simula magmula noong 2015, sa 18-8 first quarter advantage subalit tumukod sa third period makaraang umiskor lamang ng 6 points at hindi na nakarekober pa.

“Tingin ko, there were some doubts heading into the game after struggling the last few days. What the first half showed was we can stay with them. After the break, it’s a realization a puwede pala despite UST having a stronger line-up and support compared to last year,” sabi ni Racela.

“Kaya pala natin sumabay. That triggered it in the second half. Our defense was commendable.”

Nagbuhos si Matt Montebon ng 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, at 2 steals habang nag-ambag sina Royce Mantua at AJ Fransman ng tig-11 points para sa Adamson.

Si Nic Cabañero ang nag-iisang  Growling Tiger sa double digits na may 16 points.

Sina Gelo Crisostomo at Mali’s Mo Tounkara, na nagposte ng double-double efforts sa panalo ng UST kontra Ateneo, ay nalimitahan sa laro.
