This time, TNT maneuvered complete control in Game 3, unlike the first two games where they had to deal with a hard-favored turn of events.

Roger Pogoy gunned for TNT as he acted as an energizer defensively to deny Ginebra the win, corroborating that LA Tenorio will not be able to manage the offense of the never-say-die-squad comfortably.

He was substituted out in the early game of the first quarter for his aggressive defense, yet were able to come back as he stood in for the injured teammate Ray Parks sitting out the second game.

Pogoy turned the table upside down as he penetrated 9 points and 5 steals in the first half, 44-34.

Yet, the game goes on as the Gin Kings were able to take the lead 52-54. However, Tropang Giga did not make a disappointment as they managed to take flight on the scoreboard to a 10-point lead, with only having the third quarter covering the heated battle.

TNT finished the third quarter with a score of 66-56, after Jayson Castro, Jay Washington, and Ryan Reyes squandering 3 points from the field.

Thompson was relatively quiet as to this game compared to his previous performance with only 8 points to keep.

On the other hand, Troy Rosario released a massive 15 points and 2 blocks, while Castro ascended 15 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Nonetheless, Japeth Aguilar and Tenorio boarded 19 and 15 points to keep the team on track, yet, it was not enough to grab the 3-0 on their side.

TNT did not miss the opportunity and took full control of the game as they ended it with a score of 88-67.

“We really had to win this game—the important game for us—or else we might be swept,” said Tropang Giga head coach Bong Ravena in Filipino.

“But it is still the same. We just won a game. They won two games. Nothing to celebrate,” he concluded.
