Mikey Williams dazzled again for 26 points on a 6-of-11 clip from long range on his 30th birthday, putting TNT one win closer to its first PBA championship in six years.

TNT also spoiled the efforts of Hotshots’ star Calvin Abueva, who was hailed as the Best Player of the Conference, as they pulled away for good in the second half to seal the win. 

After a heated first quarter, the TNT carried the momentum on the second as they outscored Magnolia with a 33-15 run, ending the second frame, 57-39.

The Magnolia could not close the gap as they only got 14 points closest, 97-83, after Mark Barroca scored 10 of his 13 points in the final quarter.

Williams stopped a late threat by Magnolia, after nailing his fourth of his six three-pointers with 2:33 left to give TNT a 100-83 lead. 

The TNT rookie also followed two more threes to turn the rest of the game into garbage time.

“Our team is constructed in such a way that we have no first group or second group. We have 15 guys and anyone who is asked to come in to play a role is accountable to deliver,” said TNT coach Chot Reyes. 

Four players scored in double figures for TNT with Jayson Castro finishing with 12 points, while Dave Marcelo and Ryan Reyes added 10 points in the win.

Brian Heruela, Roger Pogoy, and Poy Erram each contributed with 9 points apiece.

Abeuva paced Magnolia with 28 points, six rebounds, and two steals while Ian Sangalang and Paul Lee scored 17 and 15 points, respectively.

Game Five of the PBA Finals is slated on Friday, 6 p.m. with TNT one win away from their PBA championship title while Magnolia looks to extend the series.
