Team captain Carlo ‘Ku’ Palad and midlaner Karl Matthew ‘Karl’ Baldovino will carry the Philippines’ flag against Europe’s top Dota2 teams.

T1 entered the tournament via an invite from the organizers of the tournament as they continue to boot camp in Ukraine after the team’s run in the ‘WePlay AniMajor’ in Kyiv.

“Excited to continue our momentum. Also appreciative of the hospitality of  @WePlay_Esports allowing T1 to continue to boot camp in [Kyiv]. #igniT1on,” T1 Chief Executive Office Joe Marsh said on Twitter.

T1 has already secured an Upper Bracket round 2 for the playoffs, along with ‘Virtus Pro,’ ‘Team Secret,’ and ‘Quincy Crew.’

They will play the winners of Viking.gg and The International winner stack of ‘Team Nigma’ on Thursday.

Other Southeast Asian players of T1 who will compete with the Filipinos are Nuengnara ’23 Savage’ Teeramahanon from Thailand, Kenny ‘Xepher’ Deo, and Matthew ‘Whitemon’ Filemon from Indonesia.
