SHIGA LAKESTARS INCLUDES KIEFER RAVENA IN 12-MAN LINEUP DESPITE UNRESOLVED ISSUE WITH PBA
Kiefer Ravena’s name was still included in the released 12-man lineup of the Japan B.League’s Shiga Lakestars for the 2021-2022 season despite the PBA ruling.
The new development was announced by the team on its Twitter account with Daichi Nomoto and Tomonori Imagawa being the only veterans on the squad.
“We are pleased to inform you tha Shiga Lakers have decided on the opening roster for the 2021-22 season.”
Yet, the issue between Kiefer and PBA is yet to be resolved after PBA chairman Ricky Vargas barring the act to allow the former Ateneo Blue Eagle to play as a ‘negative’ move for PBA.
“And we came out with this decision that it is best that we follow strictly the policy of not breaking contracts as we felt that there were more negatives if we allow such to happen,” noted
Nevertheless, the shoot-for-the-stars squad is eager to rebuild its camp after having a record of 23-36 together with Spaniard Luis Guil Torres as their new head coach.
Completing the squad are Ovie Soko, Reon Shibuta, Tomomasa Ozawa, Teppei Kashiwagura, Novar Gadson, Shotaro Hayashi, Sean O’mara, Naoto Moriyama, and Koya Kawamata.
