The announcement was confirmed by Phenom Sports Management President Jax Chua and Hope Christian High School consultant Steve Tiu.

Cajucom ranked 21st in the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Top 24 Rankings.

He was also a candidate of Gilas Pilipinas Youth Team and was preparing for the Fiba Asia U-16 last April before it was halted because of the pandemic.

In 2018, the 6-foot guard won a championship with Alaska in Batang PBA under Coach Carl Lazaro. He was also included in the Mythical Team in the same year.

Cajucom started playing basketball in his fourth grade in Siena College Quezon City. After three years, he then transferred to Adamson University and stayed for a year.

He last suited up for Hope Christian School before his transfer to San Beda and has two years remaining for his high school basketball career.

As San Bed Red Cubs vie to defend their title, Coach Manu Iñigo had been rebuilding his slate after losing key players Rhayyan Amsali, Justine Sanchez, Yukien Andrada, and Tony Ynot who are all now under Coach Boyet Fernandez as they move up to the Red Lions team.

To fill the spots left by the graduating batch, he secured five recruits as the team also confirmed the transfer of Vhoris Marasigan, Michael Mara, James Payosing, Reginald Ching, and John Mowell Morales last August.

“The new players fit the system that we are running and they are also hardworking players. That’s why we’re excited and we can’t wait to start our team practices.” Iñigo said.

Moreover, Joe Silva and Anton Brodett were among the decorated mentors added by Iñigo to his coaching staff.
