Both men are “getting ready for this one epic last boxing fight,” Pacquiao’s Special Assistant Jayke Joson said.

Joson’s statement was then followed by the Irish boxer tweet saying he will be “boxing Pacquiao next in the Middle East” confirming the news on his end.

“It will be a true honor to have faced two of the greatest boxers of the modern era,” McGregor added.

Joson confirmed negotiation between the camp of Pacquiao and McGregor is now starting to move while their lawyers are finalizing all confidential details.

Moreover, a huge portion of Pacquiao’s earnings in the anticipated blockbuster fight will be used to fund efforts against Covid-19.

“As what our senator says, all his fights are dedicated for the welfare and unity of all Filipinos, including this one,” Joson said.

The senator, however, does not want to talk about boxing yet since he is occupied with the nation’s response pandemic and he wanted to focus more on helping and providing necessities his assistant shared.

In his last fight with Keith Thurman, the 41-year-old Filipino boxer secured the WBA Welterweight Super Championship making him the only man in boxing history to hold world titles in eight different divisions.

Pacquiao currently holds a record of 62-7-2 including 39 knockouts in his 25 years of pro boxing career.
