NLEX ROAD WARRIORS DONATES CHRISTMAS PARTY FUNDS TO ODETTE VICTIMS
The traditional Christmas Party of the NLEX Road Warriors for the year 2021 will be waived as the team decided to donate the funds to victims of typhoon Odette.
“We at NLEX Road Warriors have been excited to have a Christmas party for two years. But in the last two years, we know there is a pandemic, it has not been possible to have a Christmas party,” NLEX coach Yeng Guiao said.
“The team, our management, our family have discussed that what we will spend on our Christmas party… should just be given and donated to our brothers and sisters in Visayas and Mindanao,” he added.
NLEX together with executive Ronald Dulatre donated a check worth P100,000 on behalf of the Alagang Kapatid Foundation.
An additional P50,000 was added coming from the PLDT-Smart Foundation.
“Hopefully, if we have a way to help our brothers and sisters in Visayas and Mindanao, we will help as much as we can,” Guiao explained.
The multi-talented coach also expressed his gratitude to specific individuals saying that “nagpapasalamat po kami kay Boss Manny V. Pangilinan, kay Boss Rod Franco ang amin pong PBA Governor, at Boss Luigi Bautista, presidente ng NLEX, sa suportang ibinigay dito sa aming adhikain.”
