Even without Greg slaughter on the team, the old but good Caguioa is on its own motion of molding his skills again and helping the Ginebra team with his almost 20 years of experience in the league.

“Mark is working hard along with his teammates to get himself in shape,” said Coach Tim Cone of Ginebra.

Caguioa was selected as the No. 3 pick overall in 2001 by Barangay Ginebra in a draft that featured current PBA head coach Topex Robinson of Phoenix.

This man isn’t new for having the crown, Caguioa has played on seven championship teams and bagged the title of Rookie of the Year in 2012 as well as the MVP award.

Caguiao was the only one left in the 2001 batch draft where he paid his tribute to one of his batchmates, Magnolia guard Peter June Simon who retired recently.

As his golden years were about to fade, Caguioa decided to return for one more season after the franchise won the Governor’s Cup title 2020.

Coach Cone shared that Ginebra will have the same solid lineup that won the season-ending conference against the Meralco Bolts.
