LA Tenorio made his arrival inside the PBA Bubble

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Veteran LA Tenorio made it to Clark, Pampanga to finally join his teammates inside the PBA Bubble, Ginebra head coach Tim Cone confirmed on Wednesday.

Arriving at the Quest Hotel, the floor general was just in time before the Ginebra Gin Kings takes on NLEX Road Warriors with four days left before the official opening of the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup.

Upon his arrival, Tenorio is to undergo the mandatory swab test as required in the PBA’s health and safety measures. Until then, he is to stay inside his quarantine room up until the results are out.

The PBA “Iron Man” has been consecutively present in every PBA season since his professional debut in 2006, holding a record of 641 appearances.

With the uncertainty going around for Ginebra as to if Tenorio would be able to join the kick-off against the Road Warriors, it is still in doubt whether he can keep up with his record.

Unfortunately, the 36-year-old point guard Tenorio underwent laparoscopic surgery to remove his appendix last week and has yet to obtain a clearance from his Doctor whether he is geared up for the league.

According to him, his condition was monitored by his Doctor daily through video calls.

Nevertheless, his arrival at the bubble is good news, making Coach Tim place all his confidence in Tenorio in keeping the streak alive.

“It will be touch and go, but if anyone can do it, it will be LA,” Coach Tim said in an interview with Tiebreaker Times.

Following Tenorio’s arrival, Japeth Aguilar is scheduled to enter the bubble on Thursday which is currently undergoing rehabilitation for his old injury.

There will be no problem on his part, as the PBA Board scrapped the deadline for latecomers.
