KOBE PARAS COMMITS TO JAPAN B.LEAGUE’S NIIGATA ALBIREX BB
Kobe Paras will be joining the Niigata Albirex BB of Japan B.League for the 2021-22 B.League season and is the first Asian import of the squad.
The Albirex BB announced the new development on their official Twitter account yesterday. “We are pleased to announce that we have signed Kobe Paras for the 2021-22 season,” the post stated.
Kobe Paras, the seventh Filipino player to sign with teams for Japan B. League expressed his excitement at playing in the court of Japan.
“I am very grateful to have this opportunity to be a part of such a great organization and basketball league,” said Paras in a statement posted on the Albirex BB’s website.
“I look forward to playing in the role that coach Hiraoka has envisioned for me and showcasing the love I have for this game on a professional level in front of the great Niigata boosters.”
The 23-year old cager is expected to gun the team with his recent Gilas experience and who had also stint in the US NCAA Division 1 before going to Fighting Maroons in the UAAP last 2018.
“ I cannot wait to arrive in Japan, to work hard on becoming a better player and creating life-long memories with my teammates, staff, and wondering fans. I’m so excited and I hope you are as well,” Paras said.
