KIEFER RAVENA, SHIGA LAKESTARS TO STAGE FUNDRAISING DONATION DRIVE FOR TYPHOON ODETTE VICTIMS
Kiefer Ravena together with his Japan team, Shiga Lakestars, has set up a donation drive to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Odette.
“There will be a fund-raising event for the Philippines, to all the victims of Typhoon Odette. I would like to thank my Shiga Lakestars family for putting this up. I appreciate all the support,” said Ravena.
Lakestars will set up booths on January 2 and 3 at Ukaruchan Arena during the squad’s homestand against Akita.
Ravena also affirmed that he will be personally manning the said booth once the gates opened.
“I hope to see all the Filipinos out there. Let’s all help kababayans affected by the typhoon so they can rise up and go back to their normal lives.”
And despite being in Japan, Ravena’s heart still aches for all the victims. He even requested to auction off his autographed shoes from the two games versus the Northern Happinets.
Lakestars, on the other hand, shared the club’s wish to have the “visitors to cooperate in the fundraising.”
“The Shiga Lakestars, which has been associated with the Filipinos by signing Ravena, hastily planned this fundraising with the hope that it will help the victims to recover their lives. We would like to ask all the visitors to cooperate in the fundraising,” posted the club on its website.
The raised funds will then be transferred to the Japan Committee for Unicef’s Natural Disaster Emergency Donations.
