JACK ANIMAM MAKES STRIKING PERFORMANCE IN SHIH HSIN TITLE REPEAT BID

Gilas Pilipinas Women's Basketball Team standout Jack Animam finished off her University Basketball Association (UBA) stint with a championship with Shih Hsin University and the All-UBA team selection.

Animam tallied 18 points on 8-of-17 shooting, 20 rebounds, and 4 assists to win over National Taiwan Normal University, 70-51, in a one-game finals match on Sunday at Taipei Arena.

With the 6-foot-2 former National University standout leading the women’s category of the league in rebounds with 12.3 rebounds per game, she was named to the 2020-21 All-University Basketball Alliance team. 

The award was given to honor the statistical leaders in different categories which included points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.

This will be added to Animam’s collection of award that already has the UAAP Season 80 and 81 Most Valuable trophy, four All-UAAP team citations, UAAP Season 78 Rookie of the Year, two Southeast Asian Games gold medals, and the first-ever PSA Ms. Basketball award.

“I really love and enjoyed playing with them,” Animam shared her experience with the team.

“It’s just so happy and it’s so easy, going up there, fighting. I know I have their back, and they know I have theirs,” she added.

The Tigers have made a sweet run on their title repeat campaign sweeping their way to the finals winning all of their 18 games. 

Lin Die recording 21 points, 13 boards, and four steals in their finals match emerged as the Most Valuable Player.
