De los Santos emerged as the winner of the tournament after defeating Matias Moreno-Domont of Switzerland, 27.4-26.38, in the final round.

Before his finals showdown with Moreno-Domont, he topped his four-way battle in Pool 2 against American Alfredo Bustamante, Norweigan Cornelius Johnsen, and French Remi Bonneau scoring 25.0 points.

With 36 gold medals won in 2020 and 13 this year, De los Santos has added another gold to his haul totaling an overall count of 50 gold medals in his e-kata competitions.

The 31-year old currently held the top ranks in the sport with 24,485 points followed by Moreno-Domont with 12,915 points and Bustamante with 9,985 points ranking second and third respectively.

Although reaching a personal milestone in his e-kata journey, De los Santos has his eyes on clinching more wins.

“On to more!,” he said.
