FEU’S JOSEPH NUNAG CONTINUES FLIGHT IN NZ NBL, SIGNS WITH FRANKLIN BULLS

Far Eastern University (FEU) slasher Joseph Nunag will once again remain to play in the New Zealand-National Basketball League as he signs with the Franklin Bulls.

The team made the announcement on their Instagram page, Wednesday morning, with the 6-foot-2 guard looking to heighten his basketball career abroad.

“Signed 2021! The #EnviroNZ Bulls are excited to welcome to the squad, Joseph Nunag,” the team said in a statement.

“Joe spent last season with the Mountainairs, but is now a Bull!”

The Filipino-New Zealander looks forward to improving his development with a tilt finish with an average of five points and grabbed five rebounds for the Taranaki Mountainairs in the 2020 season.

Nunag was a fourth-year Tamaraw in FEU back in UAAP Season 82 who averaged 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7 minutes of action and was sought to become a senior for the Tamaraw this upcoming year.

Nunag, who is the second player to remain in the NZ NBL, will not be playing alongside Ken Tuffin as the latter signed with the Wellington Saints.

The two were teammates in Taranaki last season and made it to as far as the semifinals but eventually bowed down to runner-up Manawatu Jets.

The 2021 NZ NBL season is set to kick off on the 24th of  April, which will be played with Tuffin’s Wellington against the Otago Nuggets.
