TNT team manager Gabby Cui decided to sit out 6-foot-5 Javier following its placement on the injury list.

“Chris was left behind because he’s in the injured/reserve list,” Cui admitted in a short text confirming the management’s decision.

The new acquisition was expected to play in replacement for former MVP Kelly Williams which had suddenly retired a month before the season had officially been announced.

Javier was one of the players who had been picked from the free agent pool after the 27-year-old UE standout had been released from Blackwater.

With his injury still in the process of recovery, the TNT management decided for the athlete not to play in the upcoming PBA bubble tourney.

The team management had already given their final verdict but plans to talk to him before his contract expires.

“Yes, we’ll talk to him again before [his contract expires],” Cui said.

On a different note, Cui stated that it was better and at least the playing rights of the five-year veteran player still refers to the franchise.
