Bea De Leon immediately powered Choco Mucho with her successful attack in the game’s first rally, contributing a tally of 11 points followed by Ponggay Gaston’s eight points on the attack line.

Cignal HD had a weak start with poor communication and reception that gave the winning team an upper hand of eight points lead, 11-3 yet closed the gap down to three points 12-9  with Daquis’ attack all the way to the corner, Marciano’s service aces, and Luna’s down to the line attacks.

Choco Mucho had a hard time dealing with Cignal after closing the gaps many times and tying the score 24-24 yet ended the first set in a deuce score of 26-24.

Not wanting to make the same mistake twice, Kat Tolentino gunned the team with her 16 points including 14 kills, one block, and one ace of the game ensuring the second set lead of 13 points, 25-12.

The Flying Titans ensured that the third set will not be a waste of momentum on their side and toughened their coverage and so the Cignal HD team.

It was a back-and-forth start as each team took turns in pointings not until the service aces of Aracha and swing attack of Tolentino advanced the score into 5 points, 15-10. And that five-point lead lasted until Choco Mucho seized the third set with a score of 25-17.

“I admire my players, They’re really working hard, preparing a lot physically, mentally, and spiritually,” said Choco Mucho coach Oliver Almadro after the game.

Nagkakaroon na ng cohesiveness. But they have to do it right all the time. Kailangan pa maging consistent.”
