The pressure and expectations are high for Chavez as Judson University Eagles’ soccer team was known for dominating Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) championships.

As a former member of the San Beda squad, Chavez won three NCAA juniors championships from 2016 to 2018 and represented the province of Rizal in the Palarong Pambansa.

“I am still far from what I want to achieve but I will be working hard to reach my goals of completing my education and playing at the professional level. Eventually, I want to return to the Philippines to contribute to the growth of the sport,” said Chavez.

With pure talent, the young athlete already played in the Under-18 Philippine squad in the AFF Championships in Vietnam and the U-19 competition in Indonesia.

Moreover, he was also enlisted in the Mendiola FC 1991’s U-19 team that reached the 2019 Youth Football League finals.

At the age of 18, he hopes to level up his game. Chavez will be taking up Sports Management at the said university.
