The gold medal match featured a rematch between Biado and his compatriot Johann Chua, who had won the 9-ball gold medal just days before.

From the start of the match, Biado jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the gold medal bout.

Chua had a chance to tie the game at 2-all but missed his attempt to hit the 5-ball and 10 ball in one shot.

Chua made another error in the fifth rack, failing to put the 10-Ball into the pocket, leaving the match 1-4.

The 38-year-old Biado demonstrated dominance clearing five of the final seven racks to win the match at 9-3 and complete his redemption.

The Philippine billiards team finished with four gold medals, two of which were won by Rubilen Amit and one each by Biado and Chua, four silver medals won by Chezka Centeno, Jefrey Roda, and one each by Biado and Chua, and two bronze medals won by Efren “Bata” Reyes and Francisco dela Cruz.
