Bonnie Tan denies Aldin Ayo’s withdrawal from UST for Letran
After the news of the resignation of the under-fire UST Growling Tigers Head Coach Aldin Ayo is now suspected to go back to his Alma Mater, but the special assistant to Letran rector for sports development, Aflrancis Chua repulsed the issue.
According to sources, Coach Ayo is set to go back to Letran, but even Coach Bonnie Tan, the Head Coach of the reigning champion of NCAA Basketball clarified that this is not happening. In addition, Coach Bonnie seems to shed some light regarding the issue through his Facebook shared post.
“May kulang ata sa tweet, nakikipag-swap ng position lang naman,” he said to his shared post.
On the other hand, Chua responded to the said issue as he solidifies that the possibilities of Coach Ayo being back at Letran are unlikely to happen.
“Not under my umbrella. No way,” wrote Chua in the comment box of Coach Tan’s post.
He also commented that Coach Bonnie will be the one and only coach for Letran.
Meanwhile, the UAAP Board of Managing Directors has recommended to the league Board of Trustees that sanction should be at odds with UST coach Aldin Ayo for the “Sorsogon bubble” in violation of quarantine protocols.
Coach Ayo is the man behind the finals stint of the Growling Tigers last UAAP Season 82 where they faced the Tamaraws and Fighting Maroons, who had a twice to beat advantage, in the stepladder semifinals.
There is no official confirmation yet from UST after multiple reports loomed that Coach Ayo has submitted his resignation.
