BLACKLIST INTERNATIONAL ULTIMATE PUNCHES TICKET TO CODM WORLDS 2021
Blacklist International Ultimate has qualified as the lone representative of the Philippines in the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championships 2021.
The announcement was made by the team on its official Facebook page on Thursday.
“We are proud to announce that we will be among the three teams representing Southeast Asia in the upcoming Call of Duty: Mobile World Championships 2021,” the post read.
Initially, only the finalists from the Garena event would be eligible to compete in the championship, which will be held in December.
However, the organizers adopted a new format that divided the finals into two events — the Western and Eastern Finals — prompting them to add more teams to participate.
The Garena qualifier champion ALMGHTY and Dunia Games Esports will join Blacklist International Team Ultimate, who finished third, as the region’s representative in the championship.
They will be participating in the East Finals alongside nine other teams from South Asia-Middle East, Japan, China, and India.
The Call of Duty: Mobile Stage 5: World Championship Finals will feature an online cross-regional competition for the first time with a prize pool worth $875,000.
