GLOBE SHOWCASES HUMAN-CENTERED AI TRANSFORMATION AT DIGITAL NATION SUMMIT 2025
Globe joined leaders from across ASEAN in Kuala Lumpur for the Digital Nation Summit 2025, a gathering organized by GSMA Asia Pacific that explored how artificial intelligence, data, and digital ecosystems can power sustainable and inclusive growth. The summit brought together government officials, telco executives, and innovators who share one vision: a digital-first ASEAN built on trust, collaboration, and responsible innovation.
Representing Globe was Anton Bonifacio, the company’s Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer and Chief Information Security Officer. In his keynote titled “Building an AI-Powered Globe: How Internal AI Transformation Drives Ecosystem Value,” Bonifacio shared how Globe’s journey to becoming an AI-powered organization starts from within. He highlighted how the company’s transformation rests on strong foundations, guided by a dynamic architecture, agile builders, ethical governance, and driven by people empowerment.
Bonifacio explained the company’s deliberate and sustainable approach to AI as one that balances technology with humanity. “Our campaign at Globe is simple: you have to be safe to innovate,” he said. “We want to give every employee, from developers to frontliners, the tools and freedom to solve real problems through AI.” He described Globe’s AI framework as a “shared kitchen,” where common tools, platforms, and guardrails allow teams to create their own solutions while maintaining a unified foundation.
“Businesses are hungry,” he added. “Maybe they want Chinese food, maybe they want more product, or maybe they want steak. Imagine if we have to build a separate kitchen with separate components and separate appliances engaging different partners. We’re going to wake up in the same nightmare that we are in now where you’ve got vendor lock-in and overlapping technologies.” His analogy captured the importance of building shared, flexible infrastructure that supports innovation without fragmentation, a reflection of Globe’s forward-looking AI strategy.
Beyond internal transformation, Globe’s AI journey is about enabling collaboration. The goal is to eventually allow customers to co-create in the same “kitchen,” fostering shared innovation across industries. This vision reflects Globe’s broader belief that technology should uplift people, not replace them.
Globe’s participation in the Digital Nation Summit signifies more than just presence, it represents leadership in responsible AI across the region. The company’s AI Group (AIG) focuses on both enterprise-driven AI applications and strategic long-term investments, ensuring that innovation remains scalable, inclusive, and ethical.
As ASEAN nations move toward becoming a truly digital-first region, Globe stands at the forefront of this transformation. By turning internal innovation into ecosystem value, the company continues to help build a smarter, safer, and more human digital future.
