THE UNIVERSITY of Mindanao and the Department of Labor and Employment Region XI signed a memorandum of understanding for the implementation of several research projects.

The areas of cooperation include systems development and data analytics.

The agreement will be for three years and will cover employees of the UM Professional Schools.

“We are extremely excited for this collaboration with UM. It is another milestone in our efforts to promote our labor and employment programs and services. It’s a step forward to develop innovations to better serve our clients and stakeholders,” DOLE XI OIC-Regional Director Randolf C. Pensoy said.

Pensoy and UM President and CEO Dr. Guillermo P. Torres Jr. met last week for the signing of the MOA.
