TO MARK National Teachers’ Month, teachers in General Santos City have conducted tree planting activities to further protect the environment.

The teachers from Conel Central Elementary School planted 200 bamboo, lawaan, narra and fruit-bearing trees.

Barangay officials and Dole-Kasilak Foundation Inc. also joined in the activity.

Alba ng Datu Andiam Manza National High School educators, headed by Joy Alba, also planted seeds and trees inside the school.

Meanwhile, 100 trees were planted by teachers from the Lagao National High School – Extension. The teachers also planted mangrove trees and held a coastal clean-up.
