MARIA Cristina Nisperos of Agdao Integrated School in San Carlos City, Pangasinan was killed on Tuesday, September 21, when an unidentified man barged inside her house.

Her son was critically injured, a police report said.

Nisperos, 40, sustained several stab wounds and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital.

San Carlos City police said that Maria and her 20-year-old son Aravani were sleeping when the man entered their house in Barangay Tarece at around 3 a.m.

There was no sign of forced entry.

Arvani tried to stop the man but was also stabbed.

The Agdao Integrated School sought justice for Maria.

“The whole Agdao Integrated School is devastated by the untimely passing of our treasured teacher, Ma’am Maria Cristina A. Nisperos,” the school said on Facebook.

“We extend our sincerest condolences to the bereaved family. May you rest in peace, Ma’am Cristina,” it added.
