TEACHER GIVES PORTRAIT TO HIS STUDENTS
A TEACHER in Talisay City in Cebu gave all of his students from his first advisory class a portrait of themselves as graduation gift.
MAPEH teacher Jason Lania from Divino Amore Academy said that he has been doing commission portraits and decided to create portraits for the students.
“I am their adviser and they are my first advisory class. And, during that year, palagi po kasi akong nagpo-post ng mga portraits for commissions. Then, sabi nila ‘Sir, baka naman bigyan niyo kami ng portrait’,” Lania said.
“Then, napaisip ako bigla, puwede rin. Pero, since portrait is not easy to make, that is why I challenged them and said to them that those students who will survive from Grade 7 to Grade 10, they will be given a portrait,” he added.
He shared that because of the pandemic, some students transferred schools but some of them reminded him of his promise.
“Sobrang saya noong mga estudyante ko po dati. ‘Yong iba, napaluha pa nga kasi hindi nila expect na magawan ko sila ng portrait sa maikling panahon dahil medyo busy kasi sa school,” Lania said.
He reminded the students to always remember the lessons they learned in school.
“Gusto ko na in the next journey nila, maipagtuloy nila ‘yong values na natutunan nila sa aming school. Mahalaga na madala nila ito to guide them in their respective lives,” the teacher said.
