TEACHER DESIGNS CLASSROOM TO ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO COME TO SCHOOL
A TEACHER of Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School in Tagum City designed her classroom to encourage her students to attend face-to-face classes.
Vhalyn Sed Edig, a Grade 5 adviser, adorned her classroom with colorful learning materials and placed a functional reading corner for her students.
Edig considers herself as the second parent of her students so she does everything to make her student feel that the classroom is their second home.
“Dapat maramdaman din ng mga pupils ang comfort na nararamdaman nila sa kanilang mga tahanan,” Edig said.
The teacher worked with parents and other community members to achieve her vision for her classroom.
Aside from being an adviser, Edig is also the coordinator of the Adopt-A-School Program and Project WATCH.
